Definition of Enthalpy
Enthalpy
is a fancy word for how temperature and humidity relate to each other.
Here is what we mean: On a hot and muggy day the AC system works much
harder than on a dryer day at the same given outdoor/indoor
temperatures. Anyone who would expect the AC system to deliver abundant
quantities of cooling energy on a hot and muggy day (example: you just
got home from work in the afternoon and you expect the AC to cool the
house down fast) does not understand enthalpy, and more than likely has
false expectations on what a properly engineered AC system will provide.
