This common sense approach applies to more than just heating – Why cool an entire building when only one area is too hot? tN4 Thermostats divide building areas into zones & cooling groups so the comfort of one area does not have to be compromised for the others.

What else does Tekmar do better?

  • Priority allows a ranking of individual heating zones, hot tubs, pools, domestic hot water & other system supplied items from most important to least. During extremely cold conditions, items ranked high in priority are provided with heat first. If a heat source cannot keep up with the excessive demand, the lowest priority devices can be temporarily shut down.

  • Zone Synchronization reduces energy consumption & mechanical strain by coordinating zone operation to provide longer equipment running times.

Mechanical Integration

The common goal of your heating, cooling, & ventilation equipment is to provide comfort. TekmarNet®4 integrates heating, cooling, & ventilation components into a single control system to improve efficiency, save energy & increase comfort.

With *Outdoor Reset, tN4 Thermostats can anticipate potential changes to interior temperature. To provide this capability, a single outdoor sensor is shared through the *tN4 Network. Add this to *Indoor Temperature Feedback & each zone only gets as much heat as it requires.

Cooling Groups reduce waste by preventing simultaneous heating & cooling in the same area. If heating & cooling is desired in two separate areas at the same time, a different cooling group is assigned to each one.

Temperature Limiting intelligently protects components & building materials from system temperatures that are too high or too low. A range of minimum & maximum temperature settings are utilized by both tN4 Thermostats & Controls.

Control & Convenience

With a tN4 control system, you can increase the amount of control you have over your system without decreasing convenience. Do you want to save energy by automatically reducing room temperatures when you are sleeping or away at work? – Or, override the entire system with the press of a button during special occasions such as a vacation or party?

  • Programmable schedules allow for automatic adjustment of heating, cooling, & ventilation operation to coincide with your daily schedule.

Further Integration

How would you like to integrate more than just your heating, cooling & ventilation system? A tN4 system will control a pool, hot tub, snow melting system & other extras as well.

  • tN4 Setpoint Controls can operate floor & towel warming, pools, hot tubs & other devices that have heat supplied by the main system.

  • Schedules can be made for these devices to save energy when they are not being used.

A *tN4 User Switch can be used to activate the hot tub, floor warming & other devices quickly & conveniently. They can also be used to create an alert for system related events & conditions.

Tekmar Snow Melting Controls automatically detect & melt snow on walkways & driveways. Tekmar designs & manufactures snow melting controls for both hydronic & electric snow melting systems.
